The Engineering Design Program
The Engineering Design Program (EDP) comprises a group of engineering faculty who teach and research engineering design. They offer design courses for students at all levels (from first-year students to graduate students), as well as off-site training in design methods. The EDP is a comprehensive program that strengthens the relationship between Penn State engineers and clients in industry, business, and the public sector.
The EDP is based on the concept of integrated engineering design—the integration of the ideas, disciplines, people, and resources within engineering and beyond that are necessary to achieve optimal design solutions for products, systems, processes, and services.
