Japan-Center Bürohochhaus: An der Ecke der Neuen Mainzer Straße und des Taunustors steht der Neubau des Japanischen Handelszentrums, der von der Berliner Firma Ganz und Rolfes 1993-96 errichtet wurde und den man auf der linken Seite des Bildes sehen kann. Die Gestaltung spiegelt Elemente der fernöstlichen Ästhetik wider, indem die Bauelemente das Verhältnis einer Tatami-Matte, 1,80 x 0,9 Meter, verkörpern. Die Dreiteilung des Turmschafts und das hinausragende Dach mildern die Strenge des Äußeren. Die Höhe des sechsgeschossigen Gebäudes beträgt nur 14 Meter, was in dieser von Wolkenkratzern besiedelten Umgebung auffällt. Auf der rechten Seite des Bildes sieht man das Commerzbank-Hochhaus und ein kleineres Gebäude der Commerzbank. In 1993-96, the Berlin firm of Ganz and Rolf constructed the building, which one can see in the left side of the picture. The design reflects elements of far-east aesthetics by embodying elements having the proportions of a tatami mat, 1.80 x 0.9 meters. The division of the tower into three sections and the jutting-out roof moderate the severity of the exterior. The six-story building has a height of only 14 meters, which stands out in this neighborhood, occupied by skyscrapers. On the right side of the picture, one sees the Commerzbank-Hochhaus and a smaller building of the Commerzbank. |
