Gebäude, das 1891-98 Friedrich von Thiersch erbaute und das sich gegenüber dem
Neptunbrunnen und dem Alten Botanischen Garten befindet, zeigt die typische Architektur der
Gründerzeit. Der Bau enthält Elemente aus der Renaissance und dem Barock.
Die vierseitigen Glas- und Eisenkuppeln sind auffällige Eigenschaften dieses Baustils.
This ornate building, which Friedrich von Thiersch in 1891-98
constructed and which is located across from the Neptune fountain and the Alten
Botanischen Garten, represents the typical architecture of the era, when the
German Empire was founded. The construction includes elements from the Renaissance
and the Baroque. The four-sided glass and iron cupolas represent conspicuous
features of the style of this construction.
