Choose at least 9 credits from the following · Independent study using 494 or 496 in EDSGN for participation in a recognized on-going design project or independent study in design. This list is maintained by the Certificate Coordinator. Certification will be done by the Coordinator, including requiring a written statement of the design duties performed in the project with the endorsement of a faculty mentor for the project or the student.
Other non-required, interdisciplinary design courses in engineering departments. A list will be maintained by the certificate coordinator. Examples are provided below. Note that while required capstones are not included, a student taking a second, non-required capstone in any engineering department might be able to count it, if suitable.
