30 Years of Diversity in Engineering: Anniversary Gala
Penn State WEP (Women in Engineering Program) and MEP (Multicultural Engineering Program) alumni are invited to celebrate three decades of success and our vision for the next decade!
Penn State College of Engineering has enjoyed a 30-year legacy of leadership and service championing career development of women and underrepresented students in engineering; this began through the establishment of the Multicultural Engineering Program (MEP) and the Women in Engineering Program (WEP) in 1986, and has grown to support 2,500+ students annually.
The 30th Anniversary Gala objective is two-fold: to celebrate our history of success and to support the Center for Engineering Outreach and Inclusion (formerly Office of Engineering Diversity) future vision to catalyze scholarship and program support for students on the path to becoming Penn State World-Class Engineers.
Our celebration will honor individuals and stakeholders who have made significant contributions to the Center’s mission. Guests will also be inspired by presentations from current and former students whose professional trajectories were changed as a function of Center initiatives over the past 30 years.
The 30th Anniversary Gala is also an opportunity to ensure continuous support of multicultural and women engineering students by expanding academic scholarships, summer academic enrichment programs and year-long student services.
