Current Semester Newsletter | Past Semester Newsletter

Every week during the fall and spring semesters, the College of Engineering sends a newsletter via e-mail to all undergraduate students registered in one the College's baccalaureate programs at all Penn State locations. The purpose of the newsletter is to keep students informed of academic programs, changes in academic policies and procedures, professional and career-related programs, as well as opportunities and activities of general interest that are related to the College's student organizations, departments, and programs. Students will be held responsible all the information that is disseminated via the weekly e-mail newsletter. The list of students who receive the newsletter is updated weekly.

SUBMIT E-NEWS

Click here to log on and submit E-News. If you do not have a Penn State Access ID, please contact the appropriate College of Engineering Office to submit E-News. First timers should also read the following introduction to E-News.

If College of Engineering students, faculty, or staff members have items for publication in the e-mail newsletter, the material must be submitted via the web-based form. Submissions should be of general interest to undergraduate students of the College of Engineering. If not, please utilize individual department networks of communication. The College of Engineering reserves the right to make the final determination of the contents of each item in the newsletter and to determine whether the item is suitable for inclusion in the newsletter. The following guidelines must be adhered to:

  • Submission cannot exceed 175 words.
  • With each submission a contact name, phone, address, e-mail, and/or website URL should be provided (if available or relevant).
  • Newsletter is sent out Thursday of every week of the fall and spring semesters.
  • Deadline for submitting materials to be included in the next newsletter is THURSDAY AT NOON. Any submissions after the deadline will be considered for inclusion in the following week's newsletter. In order to allow sufficient time to prepare the newsletter, no exceptions will be made!

SUBSCRIBE TO E-NEWS

All undergraduate students who are enrolled in a baccalaureate College of Engineering program should be receiving the weekly e-mail newsletter. If an eligible student is not receiving the newsletter but wishes to, a request must be sent to e-news@engr.psu.edu. The term "subscribe" in the subject line will automatically be included in the e-mail. The student must also include the following in the e-mail message:

  • Full name
  • E-mail address
  • Campus location
  • Semester standing

UNSUBSCRIBE FROM E-NEWS

Undergraduate students who are enrolled in a baccalaureate College of Engineering program may not request to unsubscribe because they are held responsible for the information included in the weekly e-mail newsletter.

If a student is NOT an undergraduate enrolled in a baccalaureate College of Engineering program but receives the newsletter in error, a request for removal from the recipient list must be sent to e-news@engr.psu.edu. The term "unsubscribe" in the subject line of the e-mail will automatically be included, and the student is required to include his or her name, e-mail address, and semester standing in the e-mail message. Faculty and staff who do not wish to receive the newsletter may follow the same process to unsubscribe.

Students, faculty and staff in the College of Engineering may direct any questions about the newsletter to e-news@engr.psu.edu.

Students who have questions about advising issues, academic policies, and procedures may send their questions to advisor@engr.psu.edu.
