- Mission Statement
Engineers in
Community Service is a student organization which facilitates activities
for those PSU students with a shared interest in development and
implementation of appropriate engineered solutions in service to
communities both domestically and internationally – with a particular
emphasis on cultural and community collaboration.
- Primary Objectives
To provide
1. Education, Outreach, Networking,
Fundraising and Social Activity Opportunities to
members with an emphasis
on Service to communities - with particular
emphasis on
engineering solutions and appropriate technology in
developing communities.
- Support for projects related to research,
design and implementation of appropriate technology in the
Engineering and Community Engagement (ECE) certificate
program, as well as encourage faculty involvement.
- Coordination of travel associated with ECE projects to see how engineered solutions make practical
differences in developing communities.
