Engineers in Community Service (ECOS)
 

  1. Mission Statement 

Engineers in Community Service is a student organization which facilitates activities for those PSU students with a shared interest in development and implementation of appropriate engineered solutions in service to communities both domestically and internationally – with a particular emphasis on cultural and community collaboration. 

  1. Primary Objectives

          To provide

           1. Education, Outreach, Networking, Fundraising and Social Activity Opportunities to
               members with an emphasis on Service to communities - with particular emphasis on
               engineering solutions and appropriate technology in developing communities.

    1. Support for projects related to research, design and implementation of appropriate technology in the Engineering and Community Engagement (ECE) certificate program, as well as encourage faculty involvement.
       
    2. Coordination of travel associated with ECE projects to see how engineered solutions make practical differences in developing communities.
