Meeting of the Minds is an interdepartmental problem-solving activity for eligible graduate, undergraduate, and high-school students. Students register individually, then are assigned to a work group by the EGSC based on their class standing and particular field of study . These groups will work together to solve a real-world engineering problem, developing not only a proposed solution to the given problem but also team-oriented problem solving skills and experiences. The topic of the MoM contest in 2003 was homeland security.
