e-Learning Support

These services are geared to assist you as you use and integrate technology into your practice to enhance teaching. EIS is here to support you in three specific areas:

ANGEL ("A New Global Environment for Learning")
This is Penn State's online course management system.  Each course offered at the university is available online from a single web address.  Our e-learning support specialist, Roxanne Toto, is available to help you get your ANGEL site up and running without difficulty.  She can help you with the basics of ANGEL, and will be there if and when you want to do more.  Contact Rox for ANGEL help, and keep an eye out for ANGEL workshops.

Integrating Technology
Integrating technology into teaching is a broad and complex challenge. We can provide personalized guidance and coaching as you seek to integrate technology into your traditional classroom, or provide support and activities in a hybrid (or mixed) classroom environments. We can also help you keep your finger on the pulse of current technologies as they apply to the classroom. Contact Rox to help you integrate technology into your classroom, and keep an eye out for EIS lunch series seminars.

Consultations
Consultations can be arranged whenever you may have a question about teaching and learning.  Engineering faculty at Penn State are highly trained in their respective fields, but teaching brings its own unique challenges.  EIS personnel are prepared to take the time to help you improve your teaching and your students' learning. A consultation with Rox can be scheduled by web, phone (814-865-4017), or email
