EIS Research Engineering Instructional Services conducts research in engineering education. This can take the form of a test of a new teaching technique, a new assessment process, or literature review. We present our findings at conferences and in peer-reviewed journals. We can provide assistance if you would like to report on educational activity in your own classroom. EIS participated in the following recent publications: Litzinger, T.L., Wise, J.C., and Lee, S. (2005). Self-directed learning readiness among engineering undergraduate students. Journal of Engineering Education, 94(2), 215-221. Bilen, S.G., Kisenwether, E.C., Rzasa, S.E., and Wise, J.C. (2005). Developing and assessing students' entrepreneurial skills and mind-set. Journal of Engineering Education, 94(2), 233-243. Wise, J.C., Lee, S. and Rzasa Zappe, S.E. (2006). Learning by doing: Four years of online assessment in engineering education research. In Williams, Howell, and Hricko (Eds.), Online assessment, measurement, and evaluation: Emerging practices (pp.306-315). Hershey, PA: Information Science Publishing.
