Penn State offers seven associate degrees in engineering technology:
- Biomedical Engineering Technology
- Building Engineering Technology
- Electrical Engineering Technology
- Materials Engineering Technology
- Mechanical Engineering Technology
- Plastics Engineering Technology
- Surveying Technology
In addition to the technical courses required for an associate degree in engineering technology, you will also take general education courses that will enhance your non-technical skills and knowledge. Associate degrees required fewer general education courses than baccalaureate degrees. If you are sure that engineering technology is the right career path for you, an associate degree will let you focus on the core courses in a shorter amount of time.
If you enjoy engineering technology and want to pursue further education, you can apply these courses toward a baccalaureate degree in engineering technology.
All students planning to pursue a degree in an engineering technology program should understand that their studies will take place at campus locations other than University Park.
