posting system. Follow the step-by-step instructions below for how to create a job posting on eCareer. If you plan to come to
campus to conduct interviews, the process will be slightly different. If you have questions about posting international jobs,

to register for an account, or log in if you have an existing account. Register on the right side of the screen using the "Register"
button. Please ignore the "Register and Post a Multi-School Job" option.
Each of the tabs at the top of the screen will allow you to access different parts of your account
- Home: Announcements, Alerts, and Shortcuts
- Account: Personal Profile, Password / Preferences
- Calendar: calendar of events
- Profile: Company information
- Jobs: Post a new job, view student résumés for posted jobs
- On-Campus Recruiting (OCR): request a date to come to campus to interview, and post jobs for which you will be interviewing on campus
- Events: Information Sessions
To post a job, click on "jobs", then "Add New" at the bottom of the screen (or click "Create a Job Posting (no planned campus interview date)"
in the shortcuts on the homepage)
- Copy Existing: If you have previously posted a job and this posting will be similar, you can copy an existing posting
and make changes. Job postings which are available to copy will appear in the drop-down box:

Position Type: Select the position type(s) that match this job posting. Select all that apply. For example, a
position in which a student would be conducting research with a company outside the U.S. for a semester would be listed as research,
international, and internship. Be sure to select your position type(s) before proceeding with the rest of the job posting. Note that each of these categories has an option for US Locations or for International Locations. Choose International Locations for positions locations outside of the U.S.
- Co-op positions are typically for more than one semester, and can be two consecutive semesters or alternating
semesters between school and work
- Internship positions are for one semester, typically a summer
- Research Internship positions can be within a company or at a university or research laboratory
- Full Time positions are for students post-graduation
- Work Semester: Select the semester(s) you wish students to work for co-op and internship positions, or the semester you wish students to start working for full-time positions.
- Title: Enter a title for this position — students will see this title as they search for jobs, so be descriptive
- Job Description: Enter a job description for this job. The more detail that you can provide, the better. This
should include information about what type of work the student can expect. In addition, if you have information, you may want to
include in the job description information about housing, stipend, etc. Students will often ask about public transportation,
visa / work permit requirements, nearest airport, cost of living, etc. so be prepared to answer those questions for students.
- Qualifications: Explain any qualifications that you wish applicants to have for this position. If this job requires
proficiency in a language other than English, that information should be included here.
- Class Level: Enter the desired class level(s).

Résumé Receipt: There are several options for how to receive résumés for the position:
- E-mail: If selected, a box will appear to enter the e-mail address to which you want résumés to be sent.
Each time a student applies to your position, you will receive an e-mail.
- Accumulate Online, if selected the résumés will all be available through eCareer. You can select to have
one packet sent to you at the end of your job posting with all résumés for the position.
- Other: If selected, a box will appear to provide instructions for students to apply (
How to Apply). Select this option if students should apply online through your company website, and be
sure to provide the web address where students should apply.
- Additional Documents: If you wish to allow students to submit documents in addition to a résumé, you
will need to select the additional documents from the list (cover letter and/or unofficial transcript) that you would like students
to submit.
- Documents Required: If additional documents are allowed or required, you will also need to designate the one(s) that are required.
- Display Contact Information To Students: If you would like your contact information visible to students, then
check the box. If selected, a field will appear where you can enter the information you would like students to see
(Contact Information).
- Automatic Application Packet Generation: You can select this option to receive a PDF file with all documents
submitted by all job applicants when the job posting period ends.
