Working abroad provides an exciting way to gain relevant professional experience while learning about the culture and practices of another country. Opportunities are available with many overseas employers and range from a short-term opportunity that is part of a US-based work experience to a full semester or more of fulltime work abroad.

When you are ready to look for international work opportunities, log on to eCareer. eCareer is the College of Engineering's online job posting and application system.

Once you have accepted or are planning to accept an internship or co-op position, find out about visa and work permit information to prepare for your overseas job experience.

Information for students traveling abroad is a resource about travel, health and safety, insurance, passports and visas, and finances.

An International Mentor Program is in development. It will link Penn State alumni living abroad with students who are pursuing a study abroad or a work abroad experience.
