  • Semester(s) available: Available semesters include fall (FA), spring (SP), summer (SU), academic year (AY), and calendar year (CY). Many programs abroad have different academic calendars than Penn State. Check university websites for course calendars, and plan accordingly. Note that only engineering programs that are a full course load in the summer are listed here - see other summer programs.
  • Course Catalogue: links to the university's list of courses
  • Course Evaluations: links to the list of courses which have already been evaluated for Penn State students at this university
  • Notes: includes any additional notes or special information about this program

Please note: This list contains universities with which Penn State has an official study abroad program and that offer courses in our various majors. These programs have NOT all been evaluated for equivalencies by the engineering departments at Penn State. It is important for students wishing to take engineering courses abroad to meet with the study abroad contact in their department to discuss if and how specific courses at each university may be used to meet degree requirements. If any of the courses in your desired program have not yet been evaluated, print the course description or syllabus and the course evaluation form [PDF] for the course(s). Take them to the Penn State department that would teach the course and ask the appropriate faculty member to complete the evaluation of the course. You must then discuss with your academic advisor if and how the course may be used to meet your degree requirements.

This table only includes information about semester programs where engineering or computer science courses are offered. Information about summer and short-term programs is available in a separate table. If you are looking for non-engineering education abroad programs, search for programs on the Education Abroad website.

Questions about using this website or about studying abroad may be directed to or to the study abroad contact in your department.
