Culture, Technology, Knowledge, Empowerment

AIHI partners work in American Indian communities, building partnerships, and much needed homes and community facilities.

Program Objectives:

• Promote the study and deployment of green building technologies as energy-efficient, durable community-built housing solutions for tribal partners and the global community.
• Provide cultually enriching and applied experiences for students in various disciplines including engineering, architecture, and landscape architecture.
• Collaborate with American Indian Communities in the creation of capacity-building sustainable development strategies and outreach projects.

AIHI is based in the Dept. of Architectural Engineering at Penn State University
