About the Leonhard Center Technical Writing Initiative

The Leonhard Center Technical Writing Initiative is a group of technical writing teachers. Underlying our programs is the desire to promote an exchange of ideas between technical writing teachers and the scientific and engineering communities. As we develop productive relationships with local businesses and agencies, we believe we can facilitate both a more relevant and meaningful learning experience to technical writing students and a valuable service to the community.

The LCTWI offers two programs that connect members of the State College professional community and the larger Penn State community with technical writing instructors: the commissioned assignment program and the guest speaker program.
