Undergraduate Teaching Intern Program for 2013 - 2014

 

The College of Engineering Undergraduate Teaching Internship Program will continue for the 2013-2014 academic year.

Undergraduate students who have completed their junior year by the end of Spring Semester 2013 will be chosen to participate in this program, and will be assigned to work with individual faculty as teaching interns.

 

The objectives of the program are:

For the student:

(a) to improve communication skills through experience;
(b) to develop interest and firsthand experience in teaching; and
(c) to develop a better understanding of certain basic concepts by teaching.

For the faculty mentors:

(a) to develop improved methods of teaching;
(b) to receive assistance in teaching; and
(c) to develop more student interaction in seeking better methods of learning.
