Craig’s career has been truly global in scope. In his current position, he is managing the global process that has been developed for hiring approval. Within this effort, Craig is translating the many work situations that exist in the different cultures/geographies that are part of The Dow Chemical Company into a system that can be effectively and consistently applied on a global basis.
Throughout his career, Craig has demonstrated a very personal approach to building successful partnerships. He has climbed through towers, working all hours of the night with internal and external Dow field workers to understand what they do, to demonstrate their importance, and ultimately to establish partnerships that got tower installations completed properly.
Craig has embraced inclusion of different people’s cultures and backgrounds in his roles in Diversity Leadership Teams and Diversity Network participation. He was nominated for an Outstanding Dow People Leader award by a broad and diverse group of individuals within Dow.
Most recently, Craig led a major effort to establish Penn State as one of the key University relationships for The Dow Chemical Company. Craig coordinated all aspects of this project, working with individuals in both the research and manufacturing divisions of Dow. In addition, Craig was the key contact person in developing The Dow Chemical Company and Larry Duda Excellence in Chemical Engineering Endowment at Penn State. This $2,000,000 gift will provide support for new teaching and research initiatives in the Department of Chemical Engineering for many years to come.
Craig is a graduate of Chemical Engineering at Penn State and was nominated for the World-class Engineer Alumni award by Andrew Zydney, Head of Chemical Engineering.
