Diversity Showcase Companies

The Diversity Showcase is a networking reception for diverse students from various technical colleges. This event is collaboratively sponsored by the Office of Engineering Diversity and Engineering Career Resource and Employer Relation. Also attending this event will be students and representives from the College of Engineering, the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences, the Eberly College of Science, the College of Information Sciences and Technology, and the College of Agricultural Sciences. Approximately 300-400 students typically attend this event; attendees are instructed to bring their résumés and to be prepared to discuss internship, co-op, and full-time positions. Space will be limited to the top 30 companies.

Feel free to bring a few company brochures for students of particular interest. However, please do not send or bring display booths to this event—you will not have space available to display materials.

Schedule Of Events

  • 1:00 p.m.—Employer Check-In

  • 1:30–2:00 p.m.—Opening Remarks & Begin Faculty/Staff Networking With Employers

  • 2:00–5:00 p.m.—Faculty/Staff/Student Networking With Employers

What To Wear

The Diversity Showcase is a formal networking event. Students are encouraged to wear business formal attire. As employers, you have a variety of options for attire; while we encourage business formal, you may prefer to dress in your corporate colors to help students find you more easily.

Upon Arrival

Check-in for this event begins at 1:00 p.m. Please proceed to the Beaver Stadium Suites Entrance. There is a pull-off area in which you will be able to park your car temporarily while you check in.

Parking

There will be designated parking available at Beaver Stadium for this event. You will receive a parking pass upon check-in. Please display this pass by hanging it from your rear-view mirror, then walk to the Beaver Stadium Suites Entrance to check in.

If you have elected to reserve interview spaces, you will also receive additional parking passes for the Interview Day, along with an interview informational packet.

If you are staying at The Nittany Lion Inn and don't wish to drive to the Diversity Showcase, you may access the guest shuttle or the free Link bus that runs on an express schedule between The Nittany Lion Inn and Beaver Stadium.
