EMIX Program Description

The Engineering Mentoring for Internship Excellence (Engineering MIX!) program is a collaborative effort of the Penn State College of Engineering Cooperative Education and Internship Program and the Office of Engineering Diversity. It was created in an effort to provide additional opportunities to corporate partners in hiring underrepresented and women engineering students.  This internship development program is designed to prepare 15 (or more) underrepresented and women engineering student interns for the science and technology industry.

Diversity Showcase

February 1, 2011
1:30–5:00 p.m.
President's Suite, Beaver Stadium

The Diversity Showcase is a networking reception for underrepresented students from various technical colleges, including the College of Engineering, the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences, the Eberly College of Science, the College of Information Sciences and Technology, and the College of Agricultural Sciences. Approximately 300 students typically attend this event; attendees are instructed to bring their résumés and to be prepared to discuss internship, co-op, and full-time positions.
