Biography of John M. Mason

The Office of Graduate Studies,  Research & Outreach (OGSRO) serves the needs of over 1500 graduate students and more than 360 faculty and researchers.  It administers over $92.4 million in research expenditures annually, nearly one-third of which are funded by industry.  Faculty, staff and students in the College of Engineering conduct research in departments and programs in the College, in more than 50 College centers, and importantly in collaboration with over 15 departments and centers across Penn State.

As the 21st century continues, the College of Engineering will continue to strengthen our core disciplines in engineering and engineering sciences.  Building on these foundations, we will increase our efforts in the development and dissemination of fundamental knowledge and processes.
