IRC's Plumbing Requirements for Code Officials

Program Code:  CO3

This program explains and discusses the duties and responsibilities of a Residential Plumbing Inspector. The program focuses on common code violations and areas that new code officials find difficult to understand and enforce. The program provides a general understanding of the various code requirements, as well as the application of materials and construction techniques to meet them.

The program will help individuals prepare for the Residential Plumbing Inspector certification examinations. However, additional study is usually needed to fully prepare for the examinations. Student manuals and practice exams will be provided.  Program participants must have a copy of the 2003 IRC building code.
