PA's New Energy Requirements for Code Officials

Program Code:  CO5

The program on Pennsylvania’s New Energy Code for Code Officials provides an overview of the energy code compliance options available in Pennsylvania.  They include the International Energy Conservation Code (IECC), the PHRC PA-Alternative and IRC Chapter 11. The program presents a basic overview of the code requirements and materials and construction methodologies that can be used to meet them. Participants will also be provided with some background on conducting energy code plan reviews and inspections. The program is aimed at preparing individuals for the Residential Energy Certification exam and will therefore focus primarily on the IECC. Student manuals and practice exams will be provided.
