(1)  Chapter drafts will be emailed by this date; the committee is asked to review and provide feedback on the draft document within one week.

(2)  To provide sufficient time to assemble comments, we need to get your feedback one-week prior to the meeting.  We will organize and review the comments to identify the most challenging for discussion during the consortium meeting.

(3)  All meetings will be held on Thursdays from 9:30 to 3:00 p.m. (lunch included).  However, since we have already received comments on the Streets Chapter, the first meeting on April 6th will be a conference call to discuss any remaining issues.  A call-in number for the conference call will be sent at a later date.

    • Road Standard Comment Response Compilation - In the interest of minimizing the time you need to spend in your review of the Streets Chapter, you can use this updated comment response document to focus in on the changes made since the last time you saw this document.  The most significant changes and re-writes were made in the following sections:

      2.3.2 Parking
      2.3.3 Intersections
      2.3.4 Driveways
      2.3.8 Traffic Calming
      2.3.9 Street Lighting
      2.4.10 Cul-de-sacs
      Street width for all road classifications.

      I hope this helps minimize your review time.

      NOTE:  Chapter 2 above has been divided into two PDF files.  Chapter 2 is the bulk of chapter 2 in it's final format.  The final printing will be double-sided so that the gray "commentary" area on each page will be on the "outside" of the page.  Chapter 2-10 figures is a file containing the figures for the final section of the chapter which will be incorporated into final format shortly.  This document still contains mock-ups of most figures.  All information is shown in the mock-up.  All figures are currently being revised to final graphic format.

     By All Committee Members:

    1. By August 19th  (sooner if possible):  Review the newly updated manual outline for the “Guidelines for Residential Site Improvement” for content and provide comments to Scott Brown (e-mail: sbrown@engr.psu.edu).  Pay particular attention to the Streets and Parking Section. This will be the first section revised and submitted for comment. 

    2. By September 3rd:  Provide preliminary comments on proposed standards in the Streets and Parking Section. Comments should be e-mailed to S. Brown (e-mail: sbrown@engr.psu.edu). 

     By PHRC:

    1. By August 27th:  An updated manual outline will be distributed based on comments received.  This updated outline will be open for discussion as an agenda item on Sept. 30th.

    2. By September 17th:

      a.  Agenda for Sept. 30 meeting.

      b.  A partial revised draft of the Roads and Parking   
           Section will be distributed for comment.
