Stormwater Management in PA:  A New Approach

Program Code:  SW1

This program provides an overview of Pennsylvania’s Revised Stormwater Management policy as implemented through DEP’s NPDES II and Stormwater Management programs.  In addition to controlling peak rates of runoff using classic detention basin technology, these new regulations will require the construction of infiltration practices and water quality best management practices to control the volume and quality of runoff from development sites.  It is important that builders, developers, designers and regulators understand the intent of these new regulations, design, construction, and operational issues associated with these “new” stormwater management practices.  This program can be tailored to fit audience needs.
