Changes in IRC 2009 wall bracing Changes in IRC 2009 wall bracing: The wall bracing requirements in the 2009 IRC are significantly different than the 2006 version. These new requirements will change the way we design and build houses. This session will provide an overview of the changes for builders, remodelers, code officials and design professionals by running through an example for a continuously sheathed house. The program will provide an introduction to braced wall lines, braced wall panels, and fastener requirements for attaching braced wall panels to wall framing and connecting them to floor and ceiling assemblies.
