Radiant Barriers: Do They Make Sense in Pennsylvania?

Manufacturers commonly recommend the use of radiant barriers in attics, under slabs, around ducts insulation, and as house wrap. Radiant barriers are highly reflective and low-emissive materials that reflect incident radiation and are slow to re-radiate absorbed heat. When installed properly, radiant barriers will reduce energy consumption, but by how much, and is it worth the cost? After viewing this webinar attendees will:

•  Understand how radiant barriers work

•  Be aware of different types of radiant barriers and areas of application

•  Be better able to weigh the potential benefits with the costs (especially with regard to whether they make sense in Pennsylvania.)
