The 2009 IRC wall bracing requirements have been in effect for a year, but many builders and code officials are only now submitting or receiving permit applications under the 2009 IRC. This program will provide a review of the basic 2009 IRC wall bracing requirements. The program will provide an introduction to braced wall lines, braced wall panels, and fastener requirements for attaching braced wall panels to wall framing and connecting them to floor and ceiling assemblies.
