Enter the Modern Age

In May 1916, a student or faculty member (no, never!) poses his new motor car on the sidewlak in front of Old Botany. the photo in the archives is labled 'Hesperus may 1916' - Hesperus does not seem to be a car model or manufacturer. The Liberal Arts building (built sometime between 1910 and 1920 - now the south wing of Sparks) is seen in the background.
