The Ascent of Humanity

Humans have an inate desire to understand the world around the, and then, it seems, modify it to suit their needs, desires, and goals. The Western world has been remarkably successful at doing this, and this course studies the various intellectual and material ways in which we have intereacted with the natural world.

Readings are to be done for the Tuesday of the week they are assigned.
