Committee Chair Application - Due Sunday, September 28, 2008

Alumni Relations - This committee will help to preserve alumni contacts.  Members will help plan dinners and tailgates with the alumni so they can share their stories and suggestions with our members.  We also hope to have a link added to our website so alumni can post messages and events for SWE.

Homecoming (Fall) - This committee allows SWE members to participate in the campus wide event of homecoming. SWE works with a fraternity, this year Simg Nu, to create a float and banner and participate in all of the exciting homecoming events. In past years, SWE has won many awards and we hope to keep up the tradition!

THON (Spring) - Penn State IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon (THON) is the largest student-run philanthropy in the nation. Participants dance for 46 hours to raise money for the Four Diamonds foundation, which helps children with cancer. In the past, SWE adopted a girl named Jessyca, who has since passed. This year we are lucky enough to have a family again. Our THON child is Aidan. Aidan’s mother-Chandra, father-David, and siblings-Andrea and Devin will all be attending THON. In order to raise money, SWE goes canning, writes letters, and hosts alternative fundraisers.
