This year, I’m proud to serve as President and Officer overseeing University Relations of this great organization.  My goal is to continue with the incredible momentum from last year’s Homecoming and THON! I’ve been very actively involved with SWE since I set foot on campus.  I served as an Accommodations Chair for the Region G Conference in 2007-2008, as well as Secretary and Officer overseeing Social Events in 2008-2009.

I’m entering my third year in the concurrent Mechanical and Nuclear Engineering Program.  Last year, I was an Outreach Assistant and the Penn State Breazeale Nuclear Reactor (Make sure you get to see a Pulse before you graduate!)  This past summer, I worked with Exelon Nuclear as a Reactor Engineering Intern.

Other campus involvement includes:

  • Mentor, Rover – Women In Engineering Program
  • Morale Committee, Thon
  • Ambassador, Engineering Ambassadors to the Schools
  • Envoy, Engineering Career Resources and Employer Relations
  • Team Leader, FreshSTART Day of Service

Hi! I’m Ginger Gronski, the Vice President of Corporate Relations.  I’m also responsible for Service.  This year I am in charge of career related activities such as the Networking receptions and Engineering Career Fair.  I was highly involved in SWE THON.  Last year I was named the ‘Most Active First Year Student’ in SWE.

I am a sophomore majoring in Chemical Engineering, concentrating in Energy and Fuels.  I’m involved in research through the WISER program, and I continued my research over the summer here in University Park.  I work in the Engineering Career Resources and Employer Relations Center part-time during the school year.  I am also part of the WEPO Leadership Team.

I am the 2009-2010 Vice President of Student Relations and officer directing Publicity. This will be my second year as an officer, and I am very excited. I hope to engage current and new members in service and social activities. It is my goal to make sure everyone at Penn State has heard of SWE - it will be a lot of fun through our imaginative advertising!

I am a senior in Civil Engineering focusing on design and construction management. I have had three internships throughout my career at Penn State, including: England-Thims, & Miller, Inc. in Jacksonville, Florida, McCrone, Inc. in Salisbury, Maryland, and Port Authority of Allegheny County in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

I actively participate in all things SWE and know this year will the best yet!
