Dear Corporate Friends,

We are writing to you on behalf of the Pennsylvania State University Society of Women Engineers (SWE) Regional Conference 2008 Conference Committee.

Penn State University is hosting the Region G SWE Conference on March 28-30, 2008. Students and professional members from western Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia and Kentucky will be in attendance. The conference is a three-day professional development and networking event for women in engineering. This conference will include workshops, a career fair, a dinner banquet and regional meetings. We are expecting more than 250 students and professionals to attend. Our theme is "Innovative Engineering: Keeping Happy Valley Green." We will be emphasizing sustainability and environmental conservation throughout the conference.

The Penn State SWE Conference Committee is seeking corporate sponsorship to aid us in providing a magnificent conference at a reasonable cost to attendees. Sponsorship at this conference will demonstrate your company's commitment to engineering diversity to students, graduates, and professionals throughout the region. Sponsorship includes a table at our career fair, which will be attended by at least 200 SWE members actively seeking internships, co-ops and full-time positions. A career fair only option has also been added to our donation list, so if you would like to partake in the recruiting without further participation you may do so. We also encourage you to contact us if you would like contribute in other ways below the designated lowest donation level. With sponsorship, we encourage attendance and participation in the conference, providing a great way for companies to network with student and professional leaders, market your company and meet potential new hires. In addition to conference sponsorship, we are looking for industry speakers to present workshops/sessions on topics such as Careering Planning, Work/Life Balance, Transitioning, and How to Work Effectively in Different Management Organizations.

We hope you will support SWE and assist us in providing the highest quality conference for Region G.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,

Dana Mallen
