	Creating New Traditions: South Korea Adapts the WEP Strategy Description: Amy Freeman was invited to the first International Conference on Women in Engineering in Busan, South Korea to share insights on best practices of Women in Engineering Programs (WEP) in the US. This workshop contrasts the barriers, solutions and cultural strategies of women engineers in Korea as that country works to increase the number of women in engineering from single digits to 25% by the year 2010. 	Utilizing the SWE Bylaws Template Description: In 2006, SWE introduced a new template that all professional and collegiate sections must adopt. In this session, you will learn how to implement the bylaws in your section, including hints on how to make the approval process go smoothly. If you have already started the process, bring a draft of your proposed bylaws for feedback before submitting them to the bylaws committee.	Room 103

It deals with email, face-to-face and phone communication. It can be geared toward the workplace or students striving for a job. 	Living Life in Balance: Is There a Way to Find Time for Everything? Many women cite "lack of time" as the biggest personal challenge in their lives. Finding time to be an effective student, co-worker, and/or community contributor (while still maintaining a satisfying personal life!) is a daunting task. This workshop explores the idea of living a "balanced life" by asking these questions: (1) Why is it important to live a balanced life? (2) How can you tell if you life is out of balance? (3) How can you restore balance (and sanity!) to your life (4) What is the "value-added" in living a balanced life. Strategies for rethinking priorities and experiential activities for managing short-term and long-term needs are offered.	Room 104

P&G has initiatives, such as the Green Guarantee, that show how they are being green, while carrying out every day processes. Representatives from Procter & Gamble?s Paper Products plant in Mehoopany, PA will be presenting this workshop.	Room 2
	Managing Effective Meetings SWE Collegiate Leadership Coaching Session Description: The Managing Effective Meetings Presentation describes the characteristics of effective meetings and introduces the tactics and methods to be employed by meeting facilitators to manage effective meetings. 	Becoming a Leader in a Web 2.0 World Presented by IBM Description: In the working world, it is important to distinguish yourself as a leader. Organizations of all sizes are seeking people who can direct teams and establish themselves as technical and industry experts. However, the rules of leadership are evolving due to collaborative tools enabled by the Internet and new Web 2.0 technologies. This workshop will introduce participants to tips they can leverage and traps to avoid so that they will be noticed as future leaders in a Web 2.0 world.	Room 4
	Women in Engineering Then and Now: Roles of Women in the Workforce 1960-Today A comparison of how the workforce was then and now, including stories as examples of these changes. This would show why SWE is so valuable to female engineers.	Room 5
