What clothing should I bring?

For most of the conference business casual (khakis, polos) is fine. You want to make sure you are wearing comfortable shoes. For the career dinner more formal attire is required.

Where should I stay?

There are several hotels in available near Penn State's campus, but SWE has blocked rooms at the Nittany Lion Inn. If you choose to stay there make sure to mention the block code SOCO328 for the special rate. Please visit our Lodging page.

What about food?

Included with the conference fee are meals from Breakfast on Saturday morning through breakfast on Sunday morning. For those arriving Friday evening, Creamery ice cream will also be available at the icebreaker activity.

Will there be transportation at the conference?

During the course of the day transportation will be provided when necessary between activities. Depending on what hotel you chose to stay at, it is your responsibility to arrive at scheduled locations. You will receive more details once you register. Again, a decent amount of walking will be involved. Penn State does have a free bus system that runs throughout the day with stops all around campus.
