Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteering can help you give back and also helps to attract more girls into engineering and inspire undergraduate women to persist.  Penn State WEP offers opportunities to work with pre-college girls and boys through day workshops; with Girl Scouts and Brownies through half-day workshops monthly throughout the academic year; and with high school girls during MTM, a summer engineering day camp.

Students can volunteer for one day or apply to develop and lead a hands on project in a temporary paid position.  Both experiences are invaluable in providing creative, hands on experiences for pre-college students.  Graduate women participants also provide invaluable role models for the undergraduate student leaders who also volunteer in these activities.

For more information, contact Cheryl Knobloch or Helen Edson at wep@engr.psu.edu.  Or sign up on the WEP volunteer web form. (COMING SOON!)
