Women in Engineering Student Organizations

 

Phi Sigma Rho (PSR)

Phi Sigma Rho (PSR) -- Phi Sigma Rho is a social sorority for women in engineering and engineering technology. The sorority was founded by Abby McDonald and Rashmi Khanna on September 24th 1984 at Purdure University to meet the study needs of women in demanding engineering curriculums. Our sisters are initialy enrolled in the college of engineering or college of engineering technology at their school, and actively take part in campus social and service activities within the Greek system.

Society of Women Engineers (SWE)

Society of Women Engineers (SWE) -- The Penn State Student section was founded in 1975, and has since grown to become over 250 members strong, making SWE the largest and most active engineering organization on campus. In the past years, Penn State SWE has won several awards for its outstanding, diverse, and informational programs and activities.
