Why Graduate School?

Graduate School in engineering opens doors, whether you plan on a successful career in business, government, or as a University professor or researcher.

Graduate students gain experience in higher level problem-solving, work on research projects that interest them and have a higher earning power.

Faculty careers, for which you typically need a Ph.D. or doctorate, are also very rewarding.  Faculty teach and work with students, develop and direct research in areas they choose and which they often become the world experts!
