Ayn Rand?s novels are inspiring and intellectually challenging. But they can also be financially rewarding for high school and college students. The Ayn Rand Institute sponsors annual essay contests that offer 600 prizes and $100,000 in prize money every year.


Entrant must be a 12th Grader, College Undergraduate, or Graduate Student.

Mailed in essays must include a stapled cover sheet with the following information:

your name and address;
your e-mail address (if available);
the name and address of your school;
topic selected (#1, 2 or 3 from list above);
your current grade level; and
(optional) the name of the teacher who assigned the essay, if you are completing it for classroom credit.

Essay must be no fewer than 800 and no more than 1,600 words in length, and double-spaced.
