American Public Power Association (APPA) DEED Program

Purpose:

Demonstration of Energy-Efficient Developments (DEED) student research grants/internships support students studying in energy-related disciplines, increase awareness of career opportunities in public power, and provide assistance to DEED member utility sponsors.

Eligibility:

Students interested in energy-related disiciplines from accredited colleges or universities.

Depending on the scholarship, a student and/or DEED member utility may apply for scholarship funding. Students who apply must be accepted or enrolled in a
full-time vocational school or accredited college or university. This includes high school seniors through graduate students. Utility applicants must recruit a student for the project/internship. Only students may apply for the Technical Design project and Educational Scholarship

Terms of Award:

Ten, $2,000 Educational Scholarships, One, $5,000 Technical Design Project and Ten, $4,000 Student Research Grants/Internships

Applications must be completed in full as per the instructions, and submitted with all required signatures and an academic transcript, by the deadline.
