The Structural Engineering Research Fellowship is a $20,000 award that aims to foster an appreciation of the aesthetic potential in the structural design of buildings and bridges by enabling a gifted student to experience the works of architecture and engineering first hand. The 2019 Structural Engineering Research Fellowship calls for the student to conduct independent research and travel to select cities to study how structures can positively respond to humanizing density in our cities. The Foundation hopes that, in turn, the Fellows will influence the practice and teaching of structural engineering in the future.
