Software Availability

Aside from the O: drive, some software that is not licensed to leave the labs is still available outside of the labs, such as Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat. By using the AE department's Lab Terminal Server, working with software from home is nearly as convenient as being in the labs.

1. Make certain you have "Remote Desktop" software installed (Start --> Programs --> Accessories --> Communication)
If you don't, it can be downloaded from the microsoft website by searching for "remote desktop download"
2. Start up your VPN Client (when outside the College of Engineering network)
3. Start up Remote Desktop and enter "aeterminal.arche.psu.edu" as the computer name, then click "Connect".

If you experience any trouble with the Terminal Server, feel free to E-mail Corey Wilkinson at CoreyW@psu.edu.
