O:\ Drive Software Help

This page is designed to help you run software directly from the O:\ drive through a licence server or by other means.

Which programs can I run from home?

Every software title listed on the O:\ drive is availble, through a licence server or otherwise, for you to run from your home computer.

Titles are as follows:

AutoCAD, Autodesk Building Systems, Architectural Desktop, Energy-10, D4 Cost v5.0, ICE 2000, Arousal Simulation Systems, AGI 32, Radiance 2.0, TracePro, Lightscape, EES, Eikon, Phoenics, SDS-2, AISC, Ansys, ETABS 8, GTStrudl, MathWorks, SAP 2000, Staad Pro, Viz 2005, WiNc and more. To see all the titles, map out the O:\ drive to your home computer.

One of the most popular programs to run at home is AutoCAD. Read on to see just how it's done.

Installing AutoCAD:

The first thing you should do is run the VPN before you start installing the program. This will ensure that the licence server can be found when it needs to be found. If you don't have the VPN yet, click here to download it. If you have the VPN, connect it.

To run AutoCAD (or any program from the O:\ Drive), you must first map the O:\ Drive to your computer. If you haven't already done this, click here and scroll down to the O:\ Drive part to see how it is accomplished. Keep in mind that you need to run the VPN when mapping a network drive, too.

The first screen you should see after you map the O:\ Drive is the O:\ Drive itself. Double click on the ACAD2005 folder:

Double click the ACAD2005 installer:

After a period of time, an AutoCAD installation window will appear.
