ACI 318-08 Building Code Requirements for Structural Concrete and Commentary. ACI Committee 318. 2008.

  • Structural design of concrete for 2-way reinforced slabs

ASHRAE, 2007, ANSI/ASHRAE, Standard 62.1 – 2007, Ventilation for Acceptable Indoor Air Quality. American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air‐Conditioning Engineers, Inc. Atlanta, GA. 2007.

  • Standard that prescribes the minimum ventilation requirements for commerical buildings. It includes requirements for both mechanically ventilated and naturally ventilated buildings.

ASHRAE, 2007, ANSI/ASHRAE, Standard 90.1 – 2007, Energy Standard for Buildings Except Low‐Rise Residential Buildings. American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air‐Conditioning Engineers, Inc. Atlanta, GA. 2007.

  • Standard that prescribes the minimum energy efficiency requirements for building equipment. It was used for this report to calculate the minimum efficiencies required for the mechanical equipment.

Baetz, Brian and Guo, Yiping. Sizing of Rainwater Storage Units for Green Building Applications. ASCE Database #1084-0699. 2007.

  • Sizing procedure for the tank volume required vs reliability of rainfall supply. Includes regional rainfall data and sizing equations.

Bahnfleth, William P, PhD, PE, Thies, Roger M. Gas-Fired Chiller-Heaters as a Central Plant Alternative for Small Office Buildings. HPAC Engineering. January 1998.

  • Technical paper describing the advantages of Gas-Fired Chiller-Heaters in small office buildings. It describes the operating modes of chiller-heaters and their applications.

Note: While great efforts have been taken to provide accurate and complete information on the pages of CPEP, please be aware that the information contained herewith is considered a work‐in‐progress for this thesis project. Modifications and changes related to the original building designs and construction methodologies for this senior thesis project are solely the interpretation of Charlie Haack. Changes and discrepancies in no way imply that the original design contained errors or was flawed. Differing assumptions, code references, requirements, and methodologies have been incorporated into this thesis project; therefore, investigation results may vary from the original design.
