Why did you choose to come to Penn State? Academics was a big part of why I applied to Penn State, but the atmosphere was ultimately the reason why I chose Penn State. Penn State offers so many opportunities for everyone and I love how it is so easy to get involved. The school spirit is so uplifting and the campus is so beautiful that it was an easy decision for me to chose Penn State.

What has been your best memory as an engineering student? One of my favorite engineerings memories came from my Engineering Design class. I worked with a group of four people to design a catapult tested for accuracy and precision. We may not have won but I loved working in a group setting and testing many different designs before choosing a final one.

What advice would you give a first-year engineer? Get involved early! There are so many great opportunities for everyone here at Penn State but you must capitalize on them. Go to the involvement fair and sign up for whatever clubs interest you. It is a great way to meet new friends while doing something that really interests you.

What do you plan to do after graduation? After graduation I plan to pursue a career in Industrial Engineering where I have the opportunity to work with others in a very accepting environment. Ultimately I wish to pursue a masters degree.

What has been your best experience outside of engineering at Penn State? My best experiences at Penn State have come from my participation in THON. The atmosphere in the Bryce Jordan Center that day is absolutely inspiring, and I love how so many students can come together for such a great cause.
