Why did you choose to come to Penn State? There weren't many schools that offered Aerospace Engineering in the surrounding area that I am from. However, when I experienced the welcoming environment at Penn State, I knew this was where I wanted to spend the next four years of my life.

What has been your best memory as an engineering student? Last year, I was on a team for AIAA's Design Build Fly competition. It was awesome to see our airplane successful after months of hard work, and the entire experience was my favorite memory so far.

What advice would you give a first-year engineer? Make sure that you get involved in a club that gets you hands-on experience in your major during your first couple years. It helps confirm that this is the major that you really want to pursue. Also, pursue all of your interests and hobbies while you're here. There is a club for everything, so go and take advantage of all of them!

What do you plan to do after graduation? I plan on getting a job, and then after a couple years, maybe going back to school to get my MBA or Masters in Aerospace Engineering.

What has been your best experience outside of engineering at Penn State? Being involved with my community service organization, Boulevard, has been a great experience. The people I have met in this organization will be my lifelong friends, and it has taught me to be a more selfless person.
