Why did you choose to come to Penn State? I grew up around Penn State. My mother was a professor at one of the satellite campuses and I frequently went into work with her. Seeing all the students so happy and excited to be a part of such a great community and organization. That's what attracted me to Penn State and is why I'm here today.

What has been your best memory as an engineering student? There are so many opportunities that I get to have as an engineer but my favorite would have to be my internship with NASA. It's such an iconic instituation and something many engineers dream of. Working there was a bit surreal and it will definitely be known for shaping me as an engineer.

What advice would you give a first-year engineer? Do everything. Obviously one can't do everything but if you've got free time than you can do more. This is the only time where you will have so many experiences to take advantage of and I am a big propentent of doing as much as you can. It may be rough at times but overall it should make you happy. On that note, do stuff that makes you happy. There's not enough time to not be in control of your path.

What do you plan to do after graduation? I plan to attend graudate school in the area of applied mathematics. Specifically, I hope to obtain my doctorate and profess at a university.

What has been your best experience outside of engineering at Penn State? Being a part of the Blue Band has been an amazing opportunity. It has provided me with the ability to continue to perform (and in front of 110,00 nonetheless) and the chance to go around the country. I've made a number of friends that have shaped my collegiate experience and I will continue to be thankful for all that it has provided me with.
