Informational Webinar: Request for Statements of Interest from Multidisciplinary Faculty Groups Seeking Support to Tackle Major Health Challenges

The University Health Sciences Council is now seeking statements of interest from multidisciplinary faculty groups seeking support to tackle a major health challenge. Proposed initiatives should plan to make measurable scientific breakthroughs having real-world impact on human health and well-being. Selected initiatives will receive investment in new faculty positions, creation of shared resources, and provision of space and will be part of the foundation of a new Penn State Institute for Biomedical and Health Sciences Research.

The formal request can be downloaded here. Requested statements of interest are to be five-pages in length and are due to be submitted through InfoReady on March 15, 2021. An informational webinar on this opportunity will be held on February 8, 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. (register by email to bng10@psu.edu).

Faculty interested in proposing ideas should discuss their idea with one of the following UHSC members prior to developing their statement of interest:
