Top engineering juniors and seniors receive Evan Pugh Scholar Award

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State College of Engineering juniors and seniors in the upper 0.5 percent of their respective classes are being recognized with the Evan Pugh Scholar Award.
Established in 1933, the award is named for Evan Pugh, Penn State’s founding president. This year, juniors have cumulative grade-point averages of 3.97 and above, and seniors have cumulative grade-point averages of 3.99 and above.
“We congratulate our engineering juniors and seniors who have been recognized as Evan Pugh Scholars,” said Peter Butler, associate dean for education and graduate professional programs, College of Engineering, Penn State. “These students carry on the proud tradition of rigorous study and practical application of knowledge that engineering embodies and that Evan Pugh envisioned for the University. We look forward to their continuing success.”
The following juniors and seniors will be recognized with the Evan Pugh Scholar Award at the Student Awards Ceremony, held in the Eisenhower Auditorium on the University Park campus, on April 15:
