Top engineering juniors and seniors receive Evan Pugh Scholar Award

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State College of Engineering juniors and seniors in the upper 0.5 percent of their respective classes are being recognized with the Evan Pugh Scholar Award.

Established in 1933, the award is named for Evan Pugh, Penn State’s founding president. This year, juniors have cumulative grade-point averages of 3.98 and above, and seniors have cumulative grade-point averages of 3.99 and above.

“We extend our sincere congratulations to our Evan Pugh Scholar awardees,” said Peter Butler, associate dean for education and graduate professional programs, College of Engineering. “Their pursuit of excellence in their engineering curriculum inspires us all and helps us in our mission to impact the world.”

The following juniors and seniors will be recognized with the Evan Pugh Scholar Award at the Student Awards Ceremony, held in the Eisenhower Auditorium on the University Park campus, on March 31:
